Hey Awaken! Here are some dates to mark on your calendar with what's going on in the month of August within Awaken:
1. August 1st: Baby Shower for the Mooney Family. We'll meet at the Riggins home at 3:30pm to help shower the Mooney Family with love and gifts for their soon arrival. Please contact Judy at (360) 957-1342 or judywrmt@yahoo.com
2. August 2nd: Free Community Car Wash. We'll meet at 9am for set-up at the Lacey Jiffy Lube. This is an awesome opportunity to meet and serve our local Lacey community through car washing. We'll end at 1pm. Please contact Pastor Brian at (360) 628-0226 or brian@awakenolympia.com
3. August 6th: Awaken Brunch. Ray & Judy have opened their home to us for some time of food and fellowship. We'll begin at 9am. Please come extra hungry and bring a friend! Please contact Judy at (360) 957-1342 or judywrmt@yahoo.com
4. August 2nd: Pastor Brian & Eunice have opened their home for a community BBQ beginning at 5pm. We had close to 40 people come to our last BBQ and we're expecting over 50 people to this next one. This event is open to all ages. We'll have food, games, fellowship and beginning around 8pm Pastor Brian will light a fire for a late night hangout time (while eating S'mores!) 5. August 9th: Men's Shooting. We'll meet at the Lacey Forza at 9am and then head to the famous shooting area to have some fun target shooting. Please contact Brian Rice at (360) 481-6759 or brianrice@awakenolympia.com
6. August 3rd: Women's Life Journal. Please contact Eunice at (360) 349-9255 or eunice@awakenolympia.com
7. August 10th: Women's Craft Fellowship (Woven As One). Please contact Eunice at (360) 349-9255 or eunice@awakenolympia.com
8. August 16th: Community Drink Give-Away. This will be a service to our community as we'll be giving away free bottled water and soft drinks to drivers at a local intersection while at the same time giving information about our church. We'll begin at 10am and meet at the large parking lot behind the Venture Bank in Lacey. Please contact Pastor Brian at (360) 628-0226 or brian@awakenolympia.com
